Advising and Prospective Students

We're glad you're considering Georgia Tech!  Be sure to visit the Undergraduate Admission website for information on visiting and applying to Georgia Tech as a First-Year, Transfer, International, or Dual-Enrolled student.  If you have already earned college credit, there is detailed information about transfer credit that you'll want to review, including Tech's transfer credit policies and the transfer equivalency table.  You can also see current information for Advanced Course Credit (AP/IB/SAT II) here.  Please understand that academic advisors will not be able to advise you on transfer or advanced credit until after you apply and are admitted.  You are encouraged to visit your major's website to begin to become familiar with your intended program of study.

Advising occurs at new student orientation (FASET).  At FASET, students and their guests have time to meet with and learn from academic advisors and faculty in their academic major, review their credits as incoming students, and plan their first semester's courses, prior to registering for their first semester.  Attending FASET also introduces students and their guests to campus services, organizations, current students, and faculty, staff and administrators.
